Gibbles

Haha yes I am running out of creative titles for my blog, no surprise there. I aint exactly the mooooost creative guy around! Ah its a Sunday morning, 2.23 am and I should be sleeping but...

I dowanna :(

I think my bodies re-tuh-derd :D

'DOHC 16 VALVE'. Thats exactly what it says on my new side stickers for the Nissan. Have yet to wash the car to stick it on gah... but I totally wasted my efforts to polish my dad's civic this morning :/. It rained at night so... yeah. Fresh coat of dirty rainwater on the not-so-fresh-anymore polished car. Oh I'm thinking of also painting my valve covers since these weekends are getting mundane. How about metallic gold cam covers with black inserts? I should try that soon!

*I'm just worried that I cant coat the high temp paint with the metallic gold... oh well. You won't know 'till you try right?*

D.I.Y K&N Filter Change/Cleaning

Oh look, K&N! Haha. Today my dad finally pushed me to change his filter in his civic. YES I know, i've been meaning to change it but I cant be bothered if nobody really pushes me to do it. Oh well... it was due anyway :). Firstly! You should wash the old/spare filter... I didnt take any photos of washing it, but its simple enough. Spray the cleaner all over it, then rinse it off with low pressure water once the cleaner has been absorbed. Leave it for 2 days to dry and here we are! A filter element waiting to be oiled...

And there we go, oiling done. Its really simple to oil it, just oil each row of the filter with the oil, and let it set...

Here's the hard part though, the removal of the filter cover! Its that middle black lump with the white and red sticker under the strut bar which is blocking it... so, first things first I had to remove the strut bar. Armed with an awesome ratchet given by my ever 'gracious' college, I started unscrewing it.

Removed the strut bar with a soft-blow hammer. Apparantely, its not THAT easy to remove a strut bar with your bare hands, had to knock it quite a fair bit since it was jammed shut...

Strut bar out of way, now I can start my work! Muahaha :D

There we go, air filter cover out aaaaand...

Took out the filter, put the new one in! Honda's throttle body location is damn weird, the air actually gets sucked from the bottom of the air filter, then only enters the throttle body there... why they designed it like that though, i'll never know. Maybe to keep the engine cleaner? The throttle body is nearing 100,000KMS yet its still so shiny...

Close up view of the throttle body + air filter.

And tadah!~~~ Everything done in 20 mins, considering you have the tools and shizz. Car rev's up to 6500rpm's, tested by dad VS a 525i on the way back from gym today. So sad, the feller was spazzing while driving, hahahaha XD. Not bad for an auto ricebox eh?

So They Say

I'll just give you a list of what people say about me pretty often... I'm supposed to be studying but felt like blogging after a certain arguement.

1. Ian, youre very rude.

2. Ian, you talk too much.

3. Ian, you complain alot.

4. Ian, you can be very hurtfull at times.

5. Ian you blame things quite a fair bit.

Now the explanation;

1. Yes, I know im rude/abrassive when I talk. Im not totally blur and un-aware that im ticking you off, but sometimes I intentionally talk that way to make you think about what i've said. You'll never learn a mistake if WHOEVER disciplines you by just mumbling. If they shout at you and cane you... Im sure that has a better effect :). Anyways it also depends to who, or what subject I talk about. IF I know im gonna irritate someone 'till the point im going to get punch i'll keep quiet and sit in the corner. YES, I can shut up. And if I offend people I ACTUALLY say sorry instead of 'whatever'. I know im in the wrong, and accept the fact i've made a mistake. Oh and I forgot to mention, I hate people who dont admit theyre in the wrong or just dont accept the fact by saying 'not my fault' or 'whatever' -.-".

2. Haha me, talk too much? I've been like this since I was in KINDAGARTEN. Sorry lah if you thought I was quiet.

3. Well... what can you be positive about? If I start talking about cars, it gets boring, if I start talking about gadgets, I get called a showoff. The world itself isnt the most pretty/fun place to hang around once you start 'real' work, not the type where you can laze your ass around and they still pay you. Im not good at talking about music, gotta admit im totally clueless on whats what, if you ask me to explain. I just like what sounds good, and I tend to criticize things around me a lot because thats what catches my attention first. Flaws are always easier seen than the beauty of an object, just like humans! You have to look REALLY close and examine it/the person well and long enough to appreciate the true beauty, then only you'll apreciate it :). Probably thats why I receive more criticizm than praise also...

4. Yes for this im trully sorry... IF I have hurt you due to me being un-reasonably harsh, Im sorry. Do tell me off also cause my head tends to take over my heart.

5. Of course I blame! No point just saying im always in the wrong, if I start doing that i'll probably become emo from saying everythings my fault... and im sure the phrase "it takes two hands to clap" came from somewhere, didnt it? :) Only on certain things I blame though, not everything is someone/somethings fault... sometimes its my own.

For those that are really close to me (known me for a few years, not months) I appreciate your late night 'confrontations' (You know who you are :P). I am aware of how I behave/act. Your efforts are definately not wasted...

Theres no point though, forcing me to change. I'll never become soft, quiet and VERY polite because thats just not my temprement! Oh and if youre gonna be irritated by how I am now, wait 'till you start work and you get an asshole like me sitting next to you :). The world isnt as kind as dota, cyber cafe's, allowances given by mummy and daddy, and 'NICE' people. People dont give a damn about your feelings, what you think of them, and how theyve offended you. I mean after all, theyre just there to get money, not to make friends with you. SO yes, be prepared for the working life.

Now I just feel like a Jeremy Clarkson whos asian, you either love his criticizm or hate it, hahaha.

Negative things aside, I had a fun time yesterday night 'touge-ing'. Even though I didnt get to go the other day, at least I gotta go yesterday. Went with Louis, Pei Chi, Wheng Chung and a 'Dolphin' named baby (If im not mistaken, Chung was baby this baby that, I certainly doubt it was Louis, Pei Chi or me he was talking to...)! Haha. Im too lazy to blog about this now, and prolly ever since it was such a rush'ed outing I didnt get to take any photos...

All I can say is LOUIS! Wheel bearing hancur and your heel and toe-ing is crazy smooth~~ Now i've said all I wanted I can study in peace.

Touge Dissapointment

Seriously lah, screw my MUM for again not letting me to go out when im not well. I havent been going to the gym, out with my friends, ANYWHERE at all since I fell sick.

Tonight has got to be the worst though...

At 10 mins to 9pm, Wheng Chung called. He asked me whether I could go for a touge run with his friends. And of course, my result is always a bloody no, NO everything, I want to go here, NO, want this, NO, try that, NO. I dont even know why i bother asking, I should have immediately said yes. Stupid shit. Now better yet, the TV is being hogged and i've got nothing better to do than FACEBOOK. They should give me an award for the most loyal user so far lah...

Oh better yet, my mum sent my nissan to that stupid-full of shitheads shop called BROTHERS. She paid rm10 to get my steering RE-missaligned. Me and Chung spent SO MANY HOURS FIXING IT to get straight and those DOGS there at brothers in a few mins ruined my alignment. Seriously weih, how the HELL did they ever become popular?...

And the best part yet, I've got to wake my ass up tomorrow to go to college early to find out what stupid shit class I have to go to. GREAT. What a LOVELY start to a weekend.

Oh and thanks dad for the new mouse... at least that makes me a bit happier :/.

Streamyx So Slow

Its a very very long time since i've signed into my blog to waste time talking non-sense, that barely anyone reads... (besides my parents, which I dont consider readers)

But oh well, I cant let something I have die can I? Haha.

So okay, this post holds NOTHING intresting if youre expecting it to do with cars or my life. INSTEAD, i'll be yabbering about my camera! As you all know, I have an intrest in photography, but im clueless on how to use the camera to its full potential... Call it lazyness, or what, im not the kid of guy who reads the manual before using it.

Recently though, my dad bought me a book about how to set this and that on my camera. Apeture, focus, ISO, shutter speed, what conditions should you take the photos in, its ALL THERE. However... Only 2-3 months later I pick it up, shows how 'dedicated' I am huh? Hahaha.

I wanted to actually upload more photos here, but streamyx as usual is performing at its 'best' and im waaaaaaay too lazy to re-size them so...

You like my soap bottle? Kills 650 GERMS!

Indonesian,Bangla And A Chinese

An Indonesian, a Bangladeshi and a Malaysian Chinese are in a bar one night having a beer.

The Indonesian finishes his beer and suddenly throws his glass in the air, pulls out a gun and shoots the glass to pieces.

He brags, "In Jakarta our glasses are so cheap that we don't need to drink from the same one twice."

The Bangladeshi obviously impressed by this drinks his beer, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his gun and shoots the glass to pieces.

He says, "In Dhaka we have so much sand to make the glasses that we don't need to drink out of the same glass twice either."

The Malaysian, cool as a cucumber, finishes his drink, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his gun and shoots the Indonesian & the Bangladeshi. He says "Nyamah! In KL we have so many Indon and Bangla that we don't need to drink with the same ones twice."

*Joke of the day taken from www.zerotohundred.com.my . Just because its a car forum doesnt mean they aren't funny :D*
